Vinted fee calculator
On Vinted the buyer pays the Buyer Protection fee and the postage, so sellers usually keep the full sale price. What you made is that, less what you paid and anything you spent getting it ready.

How it’s worked out
Fees are the sale price times the selling and payment percentages, plus the fixed fee per sale. Your payout is the sale price less fees. Profit is the payout less what you paid, the postage you cover and any other costs.
The break-even price is where profit is exactly zero once fees come off. The target price works the same way, with the profit you want added to your costs.
Questions
- Does Vinted charge sellers a fee?
- No. On Vinted the buyer pays the Buyer Protection fee and the postage, so as a seller you usually receive the full sale price.
- So what does a Vinted sale actually cost me?
- What you paid for the item, plus anything you spend getting it ready: bags, cleaning, repairs, or postage if you ever cover it yourself. Those are what this calculator takes off.
- When does Vinted pay me?
- The money goes to your Vinted balance once the buyer confirms the order is fine, or automatically two days after delivery if they don’t report a problem. You can then move it to your bank.
- Will HMRC know about my Vinted sales?
- Vinted reports sellers to HMRC who make 30 or more sales, or about £1,700 or more, in a calendar year. Being reported doesn’t mean you owe tax. Our guide to tax on reselling explains when you do.
